Conference theme:
“Theory, Policy and Practice in RE – Is this a time of divergence?”

Association of University Lecturers in Religious Education (AULRE) is delighted to announce its 2023 conference, will be returning to the Newman University Birmingham on 18th and 19th May.

In our global context of impending ecological crisis and socio-political upheavals increasing lines of divergence developing in RE. In the UK political devolution appears to be significantly impacting on the theory, policy and practice of RE and it is important to reflect on what this means. The conference theme has been chosen to open up discussions around religious education and religion in education’s role in and response to issues surrounding socio-political divergence.
