AULRE Annual Conference 2019

Newman University is looking forward to hosting the AULRE 2019 conference, as part of our 50th anniversary celebrations. The theme of the conference:
RE past, present and future…
In these challenging times for RE it is important to take stock, to understand our current context in relation to the past and future directions for this vital but contested part of the curriculum.

We are pleased to also announce that there will be an extended opportunity to engage with the seven research projects currently exploring key issues in Religious Education. These projects (sponsored by CstG) are opening research into Religious Education which has the potential to have a major and lasting impact on the subject.
The conference is hosted by the Faculty of Education and Theology subject area to create a an open, inclusive, and critically engaging forum for advocates of Religious Education.
Call for papers: We invite submissions to present short papers (15-20 minutes) on matters related to Religious Education. We would particularly welcome papers that addressed the conference theme in relation to the CoRE Final Report
Abstracts of up to 300 words should be submitted to Dr Sean Whittle (email@example.com).
Notifications of acceptance will be made by 22nd March 18th March 2019. Full text of the papers should be submitted by email attachment no later than 30th April 2019.
