Dr Farid Panjwani

We are delighted that Dr Farid Panjwani of UCL Institute of Education is presenting a keynote at the AULRE 2015 conference. Dr Farid Panjwani works in four area: interfaces between religion, citizenship and education, including their historical dimension and issues around representation of intra-religious diversity; philosophy of education, particularly on the conceptions of knowledge and personhood in Muslim and modern western traditions; education and society, more specifically on the questions posed by the need for social cohesion in contemporary multicultural societies and the forms of social and political marginalisation; and contemporary Muslim thought, in particular on issues of education and the teaching and learning of the history of Muslims.
